Leather Show in Sheridan, WY - Wed, Jul 7th, 2010
Written By: Carolyn Berry
For several years now I have wanted to attend the annual leather show in Sheridan. However, being it's always in May, there are usually family graduations or in our case, surgeries. But this year everything worked out sell schedule wise.
The weather was beautiful, the scenery was actually "green" instead of brown, the leather artisans produced some really magnificent pieces. Last year the art show drew some 80 entries and this year there were 120 pieces, and each piece was crafted perfectly and creatively.
Besides the art show, there were leather vendors filling the main floor of the hotel and I was able to meet in person many that we have bought from for years.
We met the Seidel family from Cody a few years ago when we entered the Cody Fashion Show. Mr. Seidel was at the show having entered a saddle. Just as I was leaving, I saw him and his daughter across the room. I'm so glad that our paths crossed again. It is nice keeping up with people that you really appreciate.
